Everest Mountain Flight: what to expect
A mountain flight is the fastest, easiest way to stand face to face with the Himalaya. Instead of a two-week trek, you board a small fixed-wing plane at dawn in Kathmandu and fly east along the range, close enough to pick out individual summits, then land back in the city in time for a late breakfast. Nothing about it is strenuous. There is no walking, no altitude to acclimatise to, and no permit to arrange. For travellers short on time, travelling with children or older parents, or who simply want the mountains on their first morning, it is hard to beat.
